Yamileth Lopez

In four years, Yamileth Lopez hopes to have obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and be enrolled in law school. She wishes to become a criminal defense attorney and work as one in the Bronx, where she grew up. In being raised in a minority-populated community and participating in a few law-affiliated programs, Yamileth has become motivated to fight the injustices endured by members of her community and other marginalized groups. As a result, she believes working as a defense attorney will allow her to partially do so by helping to defend those in court who may not have the proper means to defend themselves.
