Michael Garcia is a senior at John Jay College majoring in Computer Science and Information Security. At an early age, he had a knack for technology, but had further interest in finding out how computers operated. At 13, he started programming in Java and gained an interest in cybersecurity while securing a Linux server. He currently holds an IT GRC apprenticeship at a global cosmetics company securing the IT environment through effective governance, which is applying the decisions made by the business and IT function.
